The Balochistan government has relaxed restrictions on the transfer and posting of teachers, allowing teaching staff to be transferred within their respective districts.
The School Education Department has issued a notification outlining the revised policy, under which teachers can be transferred against vacant and approved posts within the same district.
However, the ban on inter-district transfers of Secondary School Teachers (SSTs), headmasters, and headmistresses will remain in place.
The department has also allowed surplus teachers posted in Quetta to return to their native districts. At the same time, the notification states that no teacher can be transferred from Quetta to another district or from any other district to Quetta.
Teachers currently awaiting posting have been directed to submit their applications to the concerned District Education Officer (DEO) within one month.
The department has warned that action will be taken against officials or individuals found violating the transfer policy.
