Inspector Jobs Announced in Islamabad Police

The Islamabad Capital Territory Police has announced 23 Inspector (BS-16) vacancies through the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
The posts are permanent and fall under the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control. Candidates from different parts of Pakistan can apply under the announced quota system. The last date to apply is August 31, 2026.
Applicants must have a Master’s, BS, or Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education in any discipline. The degree must come from an HEC-recognized university or institution.
The basic age limit is 20 to 28 years. FPSC has also mentioned five years of general upper-age relaxation under the applicable rules.
Physical Requirements
Male candidates must have a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches. The minimum height for female candidates is 5 feet 2 inches.
Male applicants must have a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches. Candidates need 6/6 eyesight with or without glasses. Near vision must not be below J-I.
Male candidates must complete a 1.6-kilometre run within seven minutes. Female candidates must cover the same distance within 10 minutes.
Province-Wise Quota
The 23 vacancies include one merit seat and five seats for ICT candidates. Punjab has nine seats, Sindh Rural has two, Sindh Urban has one, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has two, Balochistan has one, Ex-FATA has one, and AJK has one seat.
The advertisement also includes women quota seats for ICT and Punjab.
How to Apply
Candidates must apply online through the FPSC website. FPSC will not accept manual applications or hard copies.
Since the Inspector post is in BS-16, applicants must pay an application fee of Rs. 600. The fee can be paid against the FPSC-generated PSID through supported 1-Link payment channels such as mobile banking, ATM, Easypaisa, and JazzCash.
Applicants should provide an active mobile number and email address while completing the application.
