Lenovo Launches 34″ Affordable Ultrawide Gaming Monitor With 2K Resolution
Lenovo has launched the Legion 34W-2C, a new curved ultrawide gaming monitor featuring a 34-inch display, a 240Hz refresh rate, and WQHD resolution.
The monitor is priced at around $266, making it one of the more affordable options out there.
Display and Gaming Features
The Legion 34W-2C uses a VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3440 × 1440 pixels.
Lenovo has given the display a 1500R curvature, designed to keep the outer areas of the 34-inch screen within the user’s peripheral vision.
The VA panel offers a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. Typical brightness stands at 400 nits, while peak brightness reaches 410 nits. The monitor also supports DisplayHDR 400.
For gaming, the Legion 34W-2C provides a native refresh rate of 240Hz.
Lenovo includes adjustable overdrive settings that offer gray-to-gray response times ranging from 5ms to 1ms, depending on the selected level. An Esports profile also provides a 0.5ms MPRT mode.
The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync to reduce screen tearing and stuttering.
Lenovo has also included several gaming-focused tools, including an on-screen crosshair, refresh-rate counter and a dark-area enhancement mode. The latter improves visibility in darker scenes without significantly increasing the brightness of lighter areas.
Color and Eye Comfort
The Legion 34W-2C supports 10-bit color through an 8-bit + FRC implementation.
It covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and 95% of DCI-P3. The monitor also supports Lenovo’s LADM software for color adjustments.
For eye comfort, Lenovo includes hardware-level low blue light technology, Eyesafe 2.0, and TÜV Rheinland certifications. The display also uses DC dimming to reduce flicker.
Connectivity and Stand
The monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection.
Both HDMI and DisplayPort support the full 3440 × 1440 resolution at 240Hz. Lenovo says the monitor is compatible with modern PCs as well as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The included stand provides 135mm of height adjustment. Users can swivel the monitor by up to 30 degrees in either direction and tilt it between -5 and 22 degrees.
The Legion 34W-2C also supports standard 100 × 100mm VESA mounting, allowing it to work with compatible third-party monitor arms.
