Pakistan Railways Restores Two Suspended Train Services

Pakistan Railways has announced the restoration of the Babu Passenger Train and Sandal Express later this month.

Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the Babu Passenger Train, operating between Lahore and Lala Musa, will resume service on August 20.

The Sandal Express, which runs from Multan to Sargodha via Jhang, will restart operations on August 21.

Both train services were suspended during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the minister, the decision to restore the trains was taken following strong public demand and to improve railway operations while facilitating passengers.

He added that Pakistan Railways plans to restore more suspended train services during the current year and improve passenger facilities in line with the prime minister’s vision.
