Girls vs Boys: Federal Board Class 9 Results 2026 – Who Performed Better?
Girls clearly outperformed boys in the FBISE 9th Class Result 2026. The Federal Board’s official gazette shows that 150,077 candidates were enrolled and 88,646 passed the SSC Part I First Annual Examination, producing an overall pass rate of 59.77 percent.
A calculation based on the gender-wise figures shows that 46,384 of the 71,859 girls who appeared passed the examination. This puts the female pass rate at approximately 64.55 percent. Among boys, 42,262 of the 76,452 candidates who appeared passed, resulting in a pass rate of around 55.28 percent.
Girls therefore finished 9.27 percentage points ahead of boys. They also produced 4,122 more successful candidates despite having 4,877 fewer enrolments.
The same trend appeared in both groups. Among regular Science students, girls recorded a 74.36 percent pass rate compared with 62.79 percent for boys. In regular Humanities, the female pass rate stood at 29.82 percent, more than double the 14.28 percent recorded by male candidates.
Girls also performed better in the ex-private category. Their pass rate was 26.91 percent in Science and 10.27 percent in Humanities, compared with 17.98 percent and 5.89 percent for boys, respectively. Based on the official figures, girls were the stronger performers in every major category of the Federal Board’s 9th Class Result 2026.
