Punjab’s Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education have started announcing Class 9 re-admission schedules for the 2026-28 academic session.
The process allows eligible students from the Class 9 First Annual Examination 2026 to reapply under the re-admission policy. Each board may set its own application dates and fees.
The Multan and Faisalabad education boards have announced Class 9 re-admission schedules for the 2026-28 academic session.
The separate notices cover eligible students who appeared in the Class 9 First Annual Examination 2026. However, the two Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) have announced different application dates and fees.
Who Can Apply for Class 9 Re-Admission?
The re-admission policy covers eligible Class 9 candidates, including students who failed, remained absent or received marks below the required level in the 2026 annual examination.
Students who passed but are not satisfied with their marks may also seek re-admission, subject to the rules of their respective board.
A candidate applying under this policy must not have appeared in or passed a higher examination. The Multan Board notification states that a result may be cancelled once within five years of its announcement.
Result cancellation is required for re-admission. However, candidates who only want to improve their marks do not need to cancel their previous result.
Class 9 Re-Admission Dates and Fees
The available board notifications provide the following schedules:

BISE Multan will accept regular applications until September 17. Candidates applying after this date can complete the process until October 19 by paying an additional late fee of Rs. 2,000.
BISE Faisalabad has opened its application period from September 3 to October 2. Its re-admission fee is Rs. 2,100.
How the Re-Admission Process Works
Students must apply through their schools or educational institutions according to the procedure announced by their respective Punjab board.
Institutions are responsible for completing the online registration, generating the bank challan and submitting the required registration return and supporting documents.
BISE Multan has stated that it will not accept manual registration returns.
The Faisalabad Board has also warned that a charge of Rs. 700 per week may apply if an institution fails to submit the required hard copy of the registration return or cut list within the given time.
Students under other Punjab boards should follow the dates, fees and instructions published by their respective BISE, as these details may vary from one board to another.
