CM Punjab Opens Applications for |E-Bike Scheme| for Students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the opening of applications for the Chief Minister’s Electric Bike Scheme, allowing students across the province to apply for subsidized electric bikes.

Applications opened on September 5, with eligible students able to register through the official portal.

100,000 Electric Bikes Available

Under the scheme, the Punjab government will provide 100,000 electric bikes to students enrolled in educational institutions across the province.

Students from government and private schools, colleges and universities can apply. The scheme covers students from more than 33,000 public and private educational institutions across Punjab. The electric bikes will be available in different colors, with pink bikes designated for girls.

How Much Will Students Pay?

The total cost of each electric bike is listed at PKR 199,000, while the cost payable by the student is PKR 109,000.

Students will pay this amount through a 36-month installment plan, with the monthly installment set at PKR 3,028. The government will cover the insurance, mark-up and registration costs, reducing the overall financial burden on students.

How to Apply

Students can submit their applications through the official CM Punjab Electric Bike Scheme portal:

bikes.punjab.gov.pk

The scheme is designed to provide students with easier access to transportation and support their daily travel to educational institutions. Maryam Nawaz said the applications were being opened as promised, giving students across Punjab an opportunity to apply for the electric bikes.
