Punjab’s AI Syllabus for Schools Yet to Get Final Approval
Punjab has completed the Artificial Intelligence (AI) syllabus for students from grades 1 to 5, but its official notification is still pending.
The delay has also put the printing of AI textbooks on hold, as publishers cannot begin the process until the syllabus is formally notified.
Publishers have called for the notification to be issued soon to ensure that AI textbooks are available before the new academic year. They pointed out that only six months remain before the new academic session begins.
The provincial education minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, has already announced that AI will be a compulsory part of the curriculum up to grade 5.
However, the Education Department has clarified that the AI curriculum will be released for printing once it receives approval from the chief minister.
