Pet Dog Attacks Boy Going to Mosque for Fajr Prayer

A boy was seriously injured after a pet dog attacked him while he was on his way to a mosque for Fajr prayers.

According to ARY News, the incident took place in Jhelum on Sunday morning.

The boy, identified as Shaban, was walking towards the mosque to offer Fajr prayers when the pet dog suddenly attacked him and left him badly injured.

Residents Rush Boy to Hospital

Local residents came out of their homes after hearing Shaban’s screams.

They rescued the injured boy and immediately took him to a nearby hospital.

Medical staff provided him with first aid. However, doctors later referred him to a hospital in Rawalpindi for further treatment and vaccination.

Police Arrest Dog Owner

Meanwhile, Shaban’s father approached the police following the incident.

City Police registered a case on his complaint and subsequently arrested the owner of the dog.

Further legal proceedings are underway.

Dog bite incidents have been increasing across several cities in Pakistan.

Most reported cases involve stray dogs, with new incidents emerging from different cities and localities on an almost daily basis.
