The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has opened nominations for the HEC Best University Teacher Award 2026 to recognize outstanding faculty members across the country.
The award will honor teachers who have made significant contributions to teaching, innovation, student learning, and academic development.
HEC has invited public and private sector higher education institutions (HEIs) across Pakistan to nominate deserving faculty members for the award.
Each eligible university can nominate one faculty member through its university-level committee under the approved award framework. The last date to submit nominations is October 7, 2026.
HEIs must send complete nomination documents to the office of the Director General (Academics), HEC, Islamabad before the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria
Public and private sector higher education institutions recognized in Pakistan are eligible to participate in the nomination process.
Universities can select and nominate a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and academic contributions.
Required Documents for Nomination
HEIs must submit a complete nomination dossier for the selected faculty member. The nomination package should include the complete dossier prepared according to the HEC award framework.
Universities must also provide the minutes of the university-level committee meeting that approved the nomination.
Applicants must submit a soft copy of the complete nomination dossier along with other required documents.
