Punjab Grants Two-Year Age Relaxation for PMS Exam
The Punjab government has granted a two-year relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates appearing in the Provincial Management Service (PMS) BS-17 combined competitive examination in 2026 and 2027.
Under the special one-time dispensation, candidates up to 32 years of age will be eligible to apply for the PMS examination.
The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued the notification following amendments approved by the Punjab governor to the Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1976.
The relaxation will apply only to recruitment for PMS BS-17 posts and will remain effective from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027.
The decision allows candidates who would otherwise exceed the existing upper age limit to participate in the PMS competitive examinations during the specified period.
