The Lahore Traffic Police has established five driving training schools for students under the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme, providing students with access to driving training and licensing facilities.
According to the announcement, the training facilities have been established at Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, Greater Iqbal Park, Traffic Police Lines Manawan and LOS Ferozepur Road.
The initiative is linked to the Punjab government’s electric bike scheme, which aims to provide students with affordable access to electric motorcycles while supporting safe and responsible riding.
CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme
Under the CM Punjab Electric Bike Scheme, the Punjab government plans to provide 100,000 electric bikes to students across the province. The scheme lists the total cost of an electric bike at PKR 199,000, while the cost to the student is PKR 109,000.
Students can pay their share through a 36-month installment plan, with the monthly payment set at PKR 3,028. The government will cover insurance, mark-up and registration costs under the scheme.
More than 33,000 public and private educational institutions are eligible to participate. Students can submit their applications through the official portal at bikes.punjab.gov.pk.
