Karachi Mayor Inaugurates New Road
Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab has inaugurated a newly constructed road connecting Khwaja Ajmer Nagri in District Central with Manghopir in District West, saying the project will improve connectivity between the two areas.
According to the mayor, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) completed the road after first replacing the area’s water supply, sewerage, and drainage lines to ensure long term infrastructure improvements.
In addition to the road, KMC also installed a new street lighting system along the route to improve visibility and public safety.

Barrister Murtaza Wahab said the inauguration ceremony turned into a small public gathering, with local residents, particularly children, welcoming the completion of the project.
The mayor added that residents told him the area had received such development work for the first time in 40 years. The newly opened road is expected to improve access between Khwaja Ajmer Nagri and Manghopir while addressing long standing infrastructure issues in the surrounding neighborhoods.
