TPL Shareholders Approve Rs. 1.54B Investment in Associated Entities
Shareholders of TPL Group companies have approved strategic equity investments totaling more than Rs. 1.54 billion, authorizing fresh capital injections into TPL REIT Fund I and Abhi Microfinance Bank Limited through separate resolutions passed at extraordinary general meetings held on Wednesday.
TPL Properties Limited received shareholder approval to invest up to Rs. 1.474 billion in TPL REIT Fund I, its associated undertaking, under Section 199 of the Companies Act, 2017.
The investment reinforces the company’s exposure to Pakistan’s real estate investment trust (REIT) sector, where TPL REIT Fund I serves as one of the group’s real estate investment vehicles.
Separately, shareholders of TPL Corp Limited authorized an equity investment of up to Rs. 65.25 million in Abhi Microfinance Bank Limited.
The investment strengthens TPL Corp’s stake in the digital financial services business, with Abhi operating as a technology-driven financial institution focused on expanding access to banking and financial solutions.
Both investments were approved through special resolutions under Section 199 of the Companies Act, 2017, which governs investments in associated companies and undertakings. The resolutions were passed at separate extraordinary general meetings of TPL Properties and TPL Corp held on July 29, 2026.
In addition to approving the investments, shareholders of both companies also ratified the minutes of their respective previous shareholder meetings.
