Sindh Police Orders Senior Officers to Declare Assets on FBR Portal
Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho has directed all Grade 17 and above police officers to submit their asset and income details through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) portal under the federal government’s new digital declaration system.
Letters have been sent to additional inspectors general, deputy inspectors general, senior superintendents of police, and superintendents of police, directing them to file declarations for the 2025-26 financial year by October 30.
The new system replaces the previous manual process and requires officers to submit details of their income, bank accounts, properties, investments, and movable and immovable assets digitally.
The declarations will also cover assets owned by spouses, along with vehicles, shares, prize bonds, domestic and foreign bank accounts, and other valuable holdings.
Officers must disclose their own income as well as the income of family members. They will also be required to provide details of their children’s education, educational institutions, and related expenses.
Other information to be declared includes electricity and gas bills, spending on private foreign travel, bank loans, and other liabilities. Officers must also explain any changes in the value of their assets compared with the previous financial year.
Authorities have further sought details of social media accounts and any foreign citizenship or permanent residency held by officers.
The FBR will scrutinize the submitted information, and officers may face disciplinary action for concealing or misrepresenting details. Failure to submit declarations by the deadline may also lead to disciplinary proceedings.
Officials will be allowed to make corrections until November 30, 2026, subject to approval from the relevant cadre administrator.
Selected non-sensitive information from the declarations will also be published on the FBR website for public access.
