The Punjab School Education Department has announced eight job vacancies for IT professionals under its Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU), inviting online applications for several technical positions in Lahore.
According to the official recruitment advertisement, the vacancies have been announced under the Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) project, which is being implemented through the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program (PESRP).
The department is hiring software engineers, database administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and other technical staff under PPS-8, PPS-9, and PPS-10 pay scales.

Which Positions Are Available
The department has announced eight positions, with one vacancy available for each post.
Three positions fall under the PPS-10 pay scale. These include Software Team Lead, Database Administrator, and DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security.
Another three positions carry the PPS-9 pay scale. These are Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX), and QA/Test Engineer.
The remaining two positions fall under PPS-8, including Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer.
The advertisement specifies the project pay scales but does not provide fixed monthly salary amounts for the advertised positions.
Qualification Requirements
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant discipline from a local or foreign university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The department has specified additional qualifications and preferred certifications for certain positions.
For the Software Team Lead position, candidates with knowledge of Scrum and Agile development will be preferred. Applicants holding PMP or PRINCE2 certifications will also receive preference.
Candidates applying for the Database Administrator position will receive preference if they hold relevant database administration certifications.
For the DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security position, the department will prefer candidates with a Certified DevOps Engineer qualification.
The Senior Software Engineer position also accepts relevant qualifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI), with preference given to professionals specializing in the field.
Applicants for the QA/Test Engineer position should know about SQL injection and load testing. Candidates with relevant professional certifications will receive preference.
The Network/System Administrator position also lists professional networking certifications among its preferred qualifications.
