The Punjab Higher Education Department has issued a notification formalizing the Provincial Cabinet’s retrospective approval of revised contract periods and a one-month extension for 3,915 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) serving in associate colleges across the province.
According to the notification issued on July 28, the Provincial Cabinet granted ex-post facto approval to revise the implementation period of the CTI program from the originally approved September 1, 2025, to March 30, 2026, to October 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.
The Cabinet also approved a one-month extension for CTIs with effect from May 1, 2026.
The notification states that all other terms and conditions of the department’s circular issued on September 13, 2025, will remain unchanged.
The Higher Education Department directed the Directors of Public Instructions (Colleges), Directors of Education (Colleges), the Director (IT), and other relevant officials to implement the Cabinet’s decision and ensure compliance with the revised contract period.
