Punjab Announces 2,000 IT Internships With Rs. 50,000 Monthly Stipend

The Punjab government has opened registrations for the latest cycle of the Chief Minister IT Internship Program, offering 2,000 paid internship opportunities to fresh IT graduates across the province.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000 during the four-month internship. The program aims to provide graduates with practical industry experience and help them develop job-ready skills.

The initiative is being implemented under the Punjab government’s Work for Punjab platform in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Who Can Apply

Applicants must hold a valid CNIC and Punjab domicile. Candidates must have completed at least 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology or another relevant field.

Eligible disciplines include Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Information Security, Data Science, Graphic Designing, Multimedia, Animation, Telecom and Networking, Information Systems, Remote Sensing and GIS, and other closely related fields.

Applicants must have completed their degree within the last four years. Candidates must also be unemployed at the time of application. Both male and female graduates can apply.

Rs. 50,000 Monthly Stipend

Selected interns will receive Rs. 50,000 per month during the internship period. However, the stipend is linked to attendance and monthly performance.

Interns must maintain the required attendance, receive satisfactory supervisor evaluations, and submit monthly progress reports.

The latest advertisement also states that stipend payments remain subject to monthly performance and verification of the candidate’s degree by the Higher Education Commission.

Internship Duration

The internship will continue for four months. During this period, selected graduates will work with participating companies and gain practical experience in professional IT environments.

The program is designed to help fresh graduates understand workplace requirements, improve their technical and professional skills, and build a stronger portfolio.
