PTA Tells Users to Enable Another Setting on Phones
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has advised mobile phone users to enable Wi-Fi Calling and check their 4G/LTE settings to improve connectivity and call quality in areas with weak signals.
The authority said users may face difficulties making calls inside buildings, basements, and other places where mobile signals are weak.
Wi-Fi Calling allows users to make calls through a Wi-Fi connection instead of relying solely on mobile signals. However, the feature works only if the phone and mobile operator support it.
PTA has advised users to check their phone settings and enable Wi-Fi Calling where available. Those unable to find or activate the option should contact their mobile operators to confirm whether the service is supported.
The authority has also urged users to check their 4G/LTE settings and ensure their phones and SIM cards support 4G services.
Users experiencing persistent connectivity issues can contact their mobile operators for assistance or visit PTA’s official website.
