President’s Trophy Grade-I Final Delayed After Another Venue Change

The final of the President’s Trophy Grade-I 2026/27 between State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Markhor IT (MIT) Solutions has reportedly been delayed by two days following another venue change.

According to sources quoted by Geo Super, the final will now take place at Lahore Gymkhana Ground from October 27 to 31 instead of the originally scheduled October 25 to 29.

The match was initially scheduled to be held at the SBP Sports Complex in Karachi before being moved to the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Ground.

The first venue change came after the SBP team had already traveled from Islamabad to Karachi for the final. The team subsequently had to return to Lahore following the change.

Sources said the venue has now been changed for a second time, with Lahore Gymkhana Ground selected to host the final.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to formally announce the revised venue and schedule for the eight-team tournament’s final.

SBP qualified for the final after finishing at the top of the standings with 107 points from seven matches. The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, recording two wins and five draws.

In their final-round match against Kingsmen Academy at the National Cricket Ground in Islamabad, SBP were set a target of 295 runs on the last day. However, they reached only 208/3 in 57 overs, despite an unbeaten century from opener Hasan Raza, as the match ended in a draw.

Meanwhile, MIT Solutions secured second place with 96 points from seven matches, recording two wins, one loss, and four draws.

MIT Solutions also registered a six-wicket victory over Pakistan Television (PTV) in their final-round match, completing the win within three days.
