Police Launch Crackdown on Vehicles With Tinted Windows

Swat police have intensified a district-wide crackdown on vehicles and motorcycles with fancy number plates, tinted windows, flashlights and missing registration, officials said.

The operation is being conducted on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Umar Khan, with checkpoints established at various locations across the district under the supervision of the relevant station house officers (SHOs).

Police are checking vehicles and motorcycles for violations and taking action against offenders. DPO Khan said every citizen must comply with the law and warned that enforcement against violations of traffic and vehicle regulations would continue.

He clarified that tinted windows were prohibited and that no permit or authorization allowing their use had legal validity.

The DPO urged citizens to remove tinted glass, flashlights and fancy number plates from their vehicles and ensure proper registration. He added that public cooperation was essential to maintaining law and order and building a peaceful and orderly society in Swat.
