Peshawar Board Releases List of Class 9 Students for Free Chromebooks

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has released a list of Class 9 students for the distribution of free Chromebooks under the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan Initiative.

According to an official notification issued, the board has already forwarded the details of eligible students who appeared in the SSC Annual-I Examination 2026 to the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Islamabad.

BISE Peshawar has directed the heads of affiliated government schools to check the published student lists and verify the academic and personal records of their students.

The initiative aims to provide digital learning devices to students in public-sector educational institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for Free Chromebooks

The Chromebook distribution process covers eligible Class 9 students from public-sector schools affiliated with BISE Peshawar.

According to the eligibility information circulated with the announcement, students who obtained 424 or more marks in the Science group and 315 or more marks in the Arts group have been identified for consideration.

However, BISE Peshawar’s official notification does not independently specify these marks as universal eligibility cutoffs. Schools should therefore check the board’s published list before confirming a student’s eligibility.

The board has uploaded the list of students on its official website, allowing school administrations to check the relevant records.

Final allocation remains subject to verification and the requirements of the Chromebook distribution program.

How Schools Can Verify Students for Free Chromebooks

BISE Peshawar has instructed the principals and heads of affiliated public-sector schools to review the official list of eligible students.

School heads must complete the prescribed verification form with accurate information, including the student’s name, B-Form number, examination roll number, board registration number, academic marks, and institution details.

Schools must provide the student’s marksheet and an attested copy of their B-Form. They must also submit an attested copy of the parent or guardian’s CNIC.

The student and parent or guardian must sign the form. The principal must then verify, sign, and stamp it.

The board instructed schools to submit the signed hard copies directly to the following address:

Office of the Director Equivalence, Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Plot No. 25, Street No. 38, G-10/4, Islamabad.

School heads must also inform the Director of Research and Development, BISE Peshawar, about the submission.
