PEIRA Introduces New Requirement for Private Schools

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has made fire and life safety certificates mandatory for all private educational institutions in Islamabad.
PEIRA has directed all private schools to obtain safety certificates from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and submit their fire safety NOCs within 15 days.
The authority said officials will seal private schools that fail to comply with fire safety regulations.
PEIRA has ordered strict implementation of safety rules to protect students and school staff from fire and other emergencies.
