The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has increased the monthly honorarium for 18 national blind cricketers following their consistent performances in recent domestic competitions.
The revised payments will remain effective for six months, from July to December 2026, under the council’s Player Support Programme.
According to the new structure, Category A players will receive Rs. 32,000 per month, while players in Categories B and C will receive Rs. 26,000 and Rs. 22,000 per month, respectively.
Badar Munir and Kamran Akhter have been included in Category A.
Category B includes Nisar Ali, Mati Ullah, Muhammad Safdar, and Muhammad Rashid.
The remaining 12 players have been placed in Category C. These include Muhammad Shahzaib, Moeen Aslam, Babar Ali, Niamat Ullah, Sana Ullah Marwat, Israr Hassan, Mohsin Khan, Junaid Khan, Talha Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees Saleem, Naeem Ullah, and Anees Javed.
PBCC said the increase across all categories was introduced to provide greater financial support to players amid rising living costs.
PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah congratulated the selected cricketers and wished them success in their upcoming national and international assignments.
