Medical staff who worked at Parliament House during the 2025 budget session will receive an extra payment equal to five months of their basic salary.
The Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue was informed that the Finance Minister approved the payment on Thursday for the employees included in the list submitted by the committee.
Senator Talha Mahmood said the issue should remain on the committee’s agenda until the employees actually receive the payment.
The committee was chaired by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla. It was reviewing several pending agendas for timely settlement. The additional payment request was one of them.
