No Look Catch – Ball Boy Stuns in Pak VS SL Match
A young ball boy has become a social media sensation after taking a stunning one-handed catch during Pakistan’s ODI tri-series match against Sri Lanka at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
The incident occurred in the fourth over of Sri Lanka’s innings when Kamindu Mendis struck Naseem Shah for a six over the deep backward square leg boundary.
As the ball sailed toward the advertising boards, the youngster casually extended his left hand and caught it with remarkable ease, barely moving from his position.
His effortless catch left the commentators amazed, with one exclaiming, “My goodness me! What a catch!”
The commentary team appeared equally impressed by the shot and the youngster’s calm reaction.
“Was it the hit? What was the shot? Or the catch taken by this youngster? How cool was that?” one commentator remarked.
Another praised the ball boy’s relaxed approach, saying, “That is magnificent. Oh my goodness. All so nonchalant. Look at him, like he does this daily.”
What made the moment even more entertaining was the youngster’s reaction. He showed little emotion after completing the catch, prompting a commentator to point out, “And he’s not smiling.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also shared footage of the catch on its official social media account, bringing further attention to the youngster’s impressive effort.

The clip soon circulated across social media, with cricket fans praising his catching skills and composure.
According to reports, the youngster has been identified as Adnan, who reportedly works at a local hotel in Lahore to support his family following his father’s death. He is also said to be a talented all-rounder who practices at a local cricket club but has struggled to pursue professional training due to financial difficulties.
Adnan reportedly took leave from his hotel job to serve as a ball boy during the match.
Reports further claim that PCB officials called him after the match and awarded him Rs. 400,000 in cash, along with free admission to a PCB cricket academy to help him develop his skills.
The moment came during the fifth match of the ODI tri-series, which Sri Lanka won by eight wickets after bowling Pakistan out for 110 and reaching the target in 18.1 overs.
