Nayatel Tops PTA Cybersecurity Rating 2026 in Fixed Line

Fast internet gets most of the attention. But speed only matters if the connection is safe.

That is why Nayatel’s latest result stands out. The company has secured the 1st position in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) Cybersecurity Rating 2026 in the Fixed Line Category.

It is the second consecutive year Nayatel has finished at the top of the Fixed Line Category, ahead of all other operators in it.

How the Rating Works

PTA, together with an independent third party, audits licensed telecom operators every year. The audit checks compliance with the Critical Telecom Data and Infrastructure Security Regulations (CTDISR).

It looks at how well operators protect customer data, secure their networks and prepare for cyber threats. Operators are then ranked within their own category.

PTA updated these regulations in 2025 as CTDISR-2025. The revised rules align with ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and push operators toward a more proactive, risk-based approach to security.

A Steady Climb

Nayatel held the second spot in the Fixed Line Category for two years before moving to first place in 2024-25.

In 2026, it kept that first position.

Credit to the Teams

Nayatel credited the win to its Cybersecurity team, along with all the other teams across the company.

Built on Years of Security Work

The ranking adds to Nayatel’s existing security credentials. The company holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications, and its cybersecurity team carries globally recognized certifications including OSCP, CEH and PT1.

Nayatel also offers penetration testing services to Pakistani businesses, helping them find and fix vulnerabilities before attackers can exploit them.

Why It Matters

As more banking, shopping, work and government services move online, the security of the networks carrying that data becomes just as important as their speed.

Pakistan is in Tier 1 of the ITU Global Cybersecurity Index 2024, moving into the top 40 countries. PTA has credited this progress partly to regular cybersecurity audits across the telecom sector.

For Nayatel’s customers, both homes and businesses, it means their connection comes from the operator ranked first in the Fixed Line Category of PTA’s Cybersecurity Rating 2026.
