Lahore to Enforce No-Horn Rules Within Designated Areas

Authorities in Lahore have decided to intensify action against noise pollution following a complaint submitted through the Prime Minister’s Portal.

According to a letter issued, no-horn zones across the city will be strictly enforced to protect public health.

The ban on honking will be strengthened around hospitals, educational institutions, court complexes, and residential areas.

Authorities will also identify no-horn zones again and update the existing list to improve enforcement.

The Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) has been advised to install standard “No-Horn Zone” signboards across Lahore.

Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Abdul Rahim Shirazi has asked the deputy commissioner to provide a fresh list of areas designated as no-horn zones.
