KP Launches Online Teaching Plan for 331 Schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has directed the registration of 331 government schools across the province with the Global Virtual School to help address shortages of teachers in key subjects.

The decision was taken on the directions of Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Arshad Ayub Khan.

Under the initiative, the Global Virtual School platform will provide online instruction in science, mathematics, English and information technology or computer science to students in the selected schools through qualified teachers.

The department expects the move to help address staff shortages in these subjects, ensure continuity of learning, and improve the quality of education in the participating schools.

The initiative is also aimed at expanding access to modern educational facilities in remote and underserved areas and helping government schools meet contemporary educational needs.
