Houthi forces attacked King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia on Sunday following repeated strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
Authorities said teams were assessing damage to the Dammam airport and conducting safety inspections in coordination with relevant agencies. The announcement did not provide a casualty figure for the attack.
The Houthis claimed responsibility for targeting both airports, according to the latest reporting.
In Riyadh, a separate attack on Sunday killed a Pakistani citizen and injured 11 people, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said. A projectile struck Terminal 4, triggering a fire, while Saudi-led coalition officials said air defenses intercepted a cruise missile near the airport.
The strikes followed Saturday’s deadly attack on the Riyadh airport. Initial reports put the toll at 12 dead and more than 300 injured, while subsequent reporting raised the death toll to 13.
Saudi authorities said damage assessments were continuing as officials took measures to secure airport facilities. The extent of the damage at Dammam remained unclear.
