Gas Supply to Be Suspended in Several Rawalpindi Areas

Gas supply will be temporarily suspended in several parts of Rawalpindi city and cantonment due to pipeline work linked to the Peshawar Road underpass construction.

According to a Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) spokesperson, the shutdown is required to connect a section of the main gas pipeline as part of the ongoing construction work.

The suspension is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm and continue until 6 am on October 18.

Affected areas include both sides of Murree Road from Saddar to Faizabad and the stretch of Peshawar Road between Golra Mor and Saddar.

Gas supply will also remain suspended in areas along Adiala Road and GT Road. Qasim Market, Westridge, and other neighborhoods along Peshawar Road will also be affected during the work.

SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected localities to make alternative arrangements during the temporary shutdown.

Under the company’s announced schedule, gas supply is expected to resume at 6 am on October 18.
