FIA Raids Counterfeit Medicine Factory In Karachi
The Federal Investigation Agency has raided a factory in Baldia Town, Karachi, and uncovered an alleged network involved in producing counterfeit medicines.
The Corporate Crime Circle carried out the raid after receiving a tip-off about the fake medicines unit. FIA officials said they seized a large quantity of counterfeit drugs and confiscated manufacturing machinery from the site.
According to the agency, the recovered goods are worth millions of rupees. Officials said the suspects were producing and selling fake medicines using the names and packaging of well-known pharmaceutical companies.
The FIA said efforts are under way to arrest the factory owner, Muhammad Siddiq.
