He said Guru Ram Das Ji’s birth in Lahore is a matter of pride for Pakistan.
He added that the main purpose of expanding the gurdwara is to give Sikh pilgrims more space and improved facilities to perform their religious rituals with ease and devotion.
He said around 13 marlas of commercial land adjacent to the gurdwara will be included in the premises to create additional space for worship and other religious activities.
Nasir Mushtaq said that under the directions of ETPB Chairman Qamar-uz-Zaman, the board attaches special importance to the care, protection and development of Sikh religious sites.
He said gurdwaras and other religious places in Pakistan are an important part of the country’s religious and cultural heritage.
According to him, comprehensive arrangements have been made to facilitate Sikh pilgrims, including free accommodation, langar, medical facilities and special security measures.
