Xiaomi has opened pre-orders in China for the Mijia Triple-Tube Washing Machine 14kg series, offering three separate drums and AI-powered wash controls.
The lineup includes a washer-dryer model and a washing machine-only version.
Three Drums in One Machine
The machine offers a total washing capacity of 14kg.
The main drum can handle 11kg, while the two smaller side drums each support 1.5kg loads.
On the washer-dryer version, total drying capacity reaches 9kg, with 7kg in the main drum and 1kg in each smaller drum.
Despite the three-drum layout, Xiaomi says the overall footprint remains close to its 10kg ultra-slim washing machine, allowing it to fit into standard built-in cabinet setups.
Drums Can Work Independently
Each drum has its own water supply and can operate independently.
Users can, for example, run a complete wash-and-dry cycle in the main drum while simultaneously washing separate loads in the two smaller drums.
It is also possible to use only one drum when dealing with a smaller amount of laundry.
The two smaller drums have a washing ratio of 1.95, compared with 1.32 for the main drum, and their diameter has been increased to 230mm.
AI Creates Wash Programs From Voice or Text
The new model also focuses more heavily on software.
Its AI Mijia Lingyun system combines Xiaomi’s washing algorithms with the company’s MiMo large model.
Instead of selecting from a long list of preset wash modes, users can type or speak what they want to wash.
They can describe the fabric, color and type of stain, and the system will generate a suitable washing program based on that information.
Sterilization and Antibacterial Protection
The washing machine supports cold-water sterilization, and Xiaomi claims it can provide up to 10 days of antibacterial protection inside the drum.
This is designed to reduce the need for repeated high-temperature wash cycles when users want to keep the machine hygienic.
Price and Availability
The washer-dryer model costs around $745, while the washing machine-only version is priced at about $595.
Pre-orders are now open in China.
Xiaomi has not yet announced when deliveries will begin.
