UHS Announces Major Relief for BS Nursing Students

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has approved a resit examination for BS Nursing students who were detained in the first semester of the Fall 2024 intake.

The students will be allowed to appear in the resit exam in March 2027, providing them another opportunity to continue their academic progress.

The decision was taken during the 44th meeting of the UHS Board of Studies in Nursing, chaired by Vice Chancellor Major General (Retired) Professor Sohail Sabir.

The board also approved the examination calendar for nursing programs, including the 2026 annual professional examinations for the four-year BSc Nursing program and the two-year Post-RN BSc Nursing program.

Under the approved schedule, examinations for different nursing groups will be conducted in phases between February and July 2027.

The meeting was attended by Director General Nursing Punjab Tahira Parveen, Board of Studies Nursing Convener Professor Samina Kausar, and principals of UHS-affiliated nursing colleges.

The board also approved an updated panel of registered nursing faculty through the UHS online faculty portal.
