Rupee in Trouble After World Bank Warning

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 267th consecutive day on Thursday.

PKR closed at 276.85 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.

Today’s session seems a little bit influenced by the World Bank’s latest warning that Pakistan’s inflation is projected to rise to 8.2 percent.

The rupee has consistently reported gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025.

Other Currencies

The rupee lost 51 paisas against the British Pound (GBP).

It lost 49 paisas against the Euro (EUR) and 46 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).

PKR was stable against both the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
