Xiaomi has revealed more details about the upcoming Redmi K100, confirming that the phone will feature a massive 10,000mAh battery, the largest ever used in a Xiaomi smartphone.
The Redmi K100 will launch in China on October 27 alongside the Clip Neo earbuds.
Design and Display
The Redmi K100 features a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. It supports a 480Hz multi-finger touch reporting rate and a 3,500Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate.
Xiaomi says more than 40 games support 165fps natively, while over 100 titles support frame interpolation.
The phone has a metal frame, a centered punch-hole display, and a horizontal rear camera module. It will also be available in a new Firefly Green color.
Internals and Software
The Redmi K100 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor alongside a dedicated D2 gaming display chip designed to improve graphics and frame rates.
It will run HyperOS 4 and feature Bose-tuned audio hardware.
Battery and Charging
The biggest highlight is the 10,000mAh Jinshajiang battery. Xiaomi says it uses 28% silicon-carbon content and provides an energy density of 957Wh/L. The battery is also designed to maintain stable performance at temperatures as low as -20°C.
According to Xiaomi president Lu Weibing, the Redmi K100 can deliver more than 29 hours of Douyin playback, over 24 hours of live streaming, more than 47 hours of music, over 18 hours of navigation, and more than 46 hours of reading.
Xiaomi also claims the phone can handle up to 1,000 short drama episodes on a charge.
The device supports 100W wired charging and 27W wired reverse charging. It also includes bypass charging, which is designed to reduce heat while gaming. The Redmi K100 will officially debut in China on October 27.
