The University of the Punjab has reopened undergraduate admissions to fill vacant seats for the 2026-27 academic year.
The second admission phase began at 8:00 AM on September 8. Eligible students can apply online until 11:59 PM on September 28, 2026.
Punjab University will offer admission on a first-come, first-served basis. The university will only accept applications submitted through its online admission portal.
Who Can Apply?
The second phase is open to fresh applicants and candidates who applied earlier but could not secure admission.
Students who did not appear in an admission test can also apply. However, every candidate must meet the eligibility requirements of the selected degree program.
When only a limited number of seats are available, Punjab University will use the time of fee-challan generation to decide the first-come, first-served order. Applicants should therefore generate their challan promptly after selecting a program.
Available Study Categories
Punjab University is offering vacant seats in the first and fifth semesters. Depending on the program, classes are available in morning, evening, afternoon, replica and self-supporting categories.
The university uses M for Morning, E for Evening, A for Afternoon, R for Replica and SS for Self-Supporting programs.
Agricultural Sciences Programs
First-semester seats are available in BSc (Hons) Agriculture under the replica category and BSc (Hons) Food Science and Technology under the self-supporting.
Punjab University is also accepting applications for BS Agribusiness in morning and replica sessions. The program is offered in collaboration with HCC, according to the admission notice.
Arts and Humanities Programs
First-semester options include BS Archaeology, BS French, BS Philosophy, BFA Performing Arts and Musicology, and BFA Sculpture.
Fifth-semester admissions are available in Archaeology, French, History, Philosophy and Physical Education. The available study category differs by program.
Candidates applying for first-semester programs offered by the College of Art and Design must pass a separate drawing or aptitude test with at least 50 percent marks.
Behavioural and Social Sciences Programs
The available first-semester programs include BS Community Development and Participatory Governance, BS Peace and Conflict Studies, BS Social Entrepreneurship, BS Social Work, BS Gender and Climate Change, BS Gender Studies, BS Demography and BS Sociology.
Fifth-semester options include Diplomacy and Strategic Studies, Social Work, Gender Studies, Applied Psychology, Criminology and Sociology.
Most vacant seats in this faculty are available in self-supporting programs, while some degrees also offer morning sessions.
Business, Economics and Administrative Sciences
Students can apply for first-semester admission to BS Business Economics, BS Economics, BS Economics and Finance, and BS Management.
Punjab University is offering the three economics-related programs under the self-supporting category. BS Management is available in the evening session.
Management is also available at the fifth-semester level in afternoon and evening sessions.
Commerce Programs
Hailey College of Banking and Finance has opened first-semester admissions to BBA in afternoon and evening sessions.
First-semester seats are also available in BS Islamic Banking and Finance in morning and evening programs.
BBA admissions at the fifth-semester level are available in the evening session.
Geo-Sciences Programs
Vacant first-semester seats are available in BS Environmental Sciences, BS Tourism and Hospitality Management, BS Hydrology and Water Resources Management, BS Applied Geology, BS Geographical Information System, BS Disaster Management and BS Geography.
At the fifth-semester level, the university is offering Tourism and Hospitality Management, Geographical Information System and Geography.
Programs at Gujranwala Campus
Punjab University’s Gujranwala Campus has opened first-semester admissions to BS Accounting and Finance, BBA offered through Hailey College of Banking and Finance, BBA offered through the Institute of Business Administration, BS Commerce, BS Electronic Commerce and BS English Literature.
The campus is also offering BBA through Hailey College of Banking and Finance at the fifth-semester level.
Programs at Jhelum Campus
First-semester programs at the Jhelum Campus include BS Accounting and Finance, BBA Banking and Finance, BBA, BS Commerce, BS Electronic Commerce, BS English Literature and BS Management.
These programs are available in morning, self-supporting or both categories, depending on the degree.
Programs at Pothohar Campus
Punjab University’s Pothohar Campus is accepting applications for BBA, BS Computer Science with a specialisation in Information Technology, and the four-year LLB semester program.
The listed programs are offered in the morning session.
Hostel Accommodation
Punjab University has said that limited capacity prevents it from guaranteeing hostel accommodation to every admitted student.
If provided, hostel accommodation will remain available during the academic year but not during the summer vacation.
Students admitted to self-supporting, afternoon, replica or evening programs will not qualify for hostel accommodation.
How to Apply Online
Candidates must submit their applications through the Punjab University admission portal. The university will not accept offline applications for this admission phase.
Applicants should check the eligibility criteria for their chosen program, complete the online form and generate the required fee challan.
The official portal will close at 11:59 PM on September 28, 2026.
