Multan Commissioner Amir Kareem Khan has reviewed the ongoing construction work on the Multan-Lodhran Road and directed contractors to accelerate the project to meet its January 2027 completion deadline.
During his visit, officials briefed the commissioner on the 62-kilometer road project, which carries a cost of Rs. 4.5 billion. He inspected the construction site and reviewed the progress and quality of the work.
Amir Kareem Khan directed contractors to follow prescribed construction standards and ensure the use of quality materials. He also inspected construction material at the site and ordered officials to prepare the road base according to ground levels while maintaining the existing road level.
The commissioner ordered immediate marking of the central median and directed authorities to continue tree plantation along the road. Officials identified several plantation sites along the 62-kilometer stretch.
He also directed authorities to conduct regular inspections, construct drains for proper rainwater disposal, and install median barriers and curb stones to improve road safety and the overall condition of the road.
