Punjab Launches Birth Registration Drive in 100 Villages
The Punjab Local Government Department has launched a birth registration campaign across 100 villages in the province to make the registration process more accessible to residents.
The campaign covers villages in Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Lodhran, Chiniot, Bhakkar, Multan and Muzaffargarh, along with selected villages in Chakwal, Khushab, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Jhang and Pakpattan.
Authorities have established special birth registration camps in the 100 selected villages as part of the campaign. The camps will provide on-site digital birth registration services, allowing residents to register births without traveling to distant government offices.
The initiative aims to bring the registration facility directly to rural communities and make the process more convenient for families in the selected villages.
