Peshawar has activated a dedicated vaccination center at the Civil Surgeon’s Office for residents preparing to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.
Focal person Ghulam Murtaza Shah said vaccination will become mandatory for Umrah pilgrims from Peshawar starting October 15. Pilgrims can travel without vaccination until October 14.
The center has 20 vaccination counters for male and female pilgrims to facilitate the vaccination process and manage the expected number of visitors.
Authorities are also establishing two NADRA facilitation centers at the vaccination center. The facilities will allow pilgrims to access relevant NADRA services alongside the vaccination arrangements.
Shah advised Peshawar residents planning to perform Umrah to complete their vaccination at least 10 days before their scheduled travel date. The vaccination center will serve as a designated facility for Umrah pilgrims in Peshawar ahead of the October 15 deadline.
