Pakistan boxer Usman Wazeer continued his unbeaten run after defeating Indonesia’s Ari Agustian in his 19th international world-ranking fight at the FFC Arena in Pattaya, Thailand.
The victory improved Wazeer’s professional record to 19-0 and also earned him qualification for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Gold title fight.
Following the bout, Wazeer dedicated the victory to Pakistan’s martyrs, saying the win held significance beyond the boxing ring.
In a post on Instagram, the boxer said he was proud to dedicate the victory to those who sacrificed their lives while protecting the country.
“I fight for the green and white, and for the heroes who keep us safe,” Wazeer wrote, while also thanking his supporters for their continued backing.
The latest result further extends Wazeer’s perfect professional record. In his previous fight, he faced India’s Baljit Singh and secured a first-round stoppage to move to 18-0.
That victory was also Wazeer’s third consecutive win against an Indian opponent.
The Pakistani boxer is now expected to face India’s Mahesh in his next bout, setting up another high-profile contest in his professional career.
