Pakistan Issues Travel Advisory for Pilgrims Visiting Iran and Iraq

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has issued a travel advisory for Pakistani pilgrims visiting Iran and Iraq, urging them to verify their flight schedules and arrange alternative travel options to avoid disruptions.

According to a ministry spokesperson, pilgrims should confirm their bookings, particularly with Iranian airlines, before departure. Those planning to travel from Tehran or Mashhad to Najaf have been advised not to rely on unconfirmed flights and to make backup arrangements in advance.

The ministry has also urged travelers to carry sufficient funds to cover alternative air or land transportation between the two countries, as well as additional accommodation and food expenses in case of cancellations or other emergencies.

Meanwhile, registered Ziarat Group Organizers (ZGOs) have been directed to avoid making travel plans based on unconfirmed Iranian flights and ensure that all pilgrims are informed of the advisory before departure.
