Outgoing Islamabad Police chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has approved the promotion of 125 officers and personnel to the next ranks, shortly before his departure from the post.
According to the Islamabad Police spokesperson, 12 Sub-Inspectors have been promoted to Inspectors, while nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) have been promoted to Sub-Inspectors.
Another 105 Head Constables have been promoted to Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
The police said formal notification of all promotions has been issued. The promotions were approved based on merit, performance and service records.
Rizvi congratulated the promoted officers and personnel and placed the new ranks on some of the promoted officials.
He said promotions based on merit and transparency remain a priority for Islamabad Police.
