OnePlus Launches New Open Earbuds With 40-Hour Battery Life and AI Translation
OnePlus has introduced its first clip-on wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Clip, featuring dual audio drivers, Dynaudio sound tuning, and up to 40 hours of battery life.
The new earbuds also come with Bluetooth 6.1, AI-powered translation, and a sound leakage prevention system.
Although OnePlus smartphones are no longer available in Europe and the US, the earbuds are listed on the company’s global website, indicating plans for availability in select international markets.
Design and Audio
The OnePlus Buds Clip feature a clip-on design with an adaptive nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) C-bridge, which OnePlus says provides comfort during extended use.
Each earbud weighs approximately 5.2 grams and carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. The OnePlus Buds Clip come in three colors: Pearl White, Twilight Rose, and Pebble Gray.
For audio, the earbuds feature an 11mm woofer and a 9mm tweeter, supported by two dedicated digital-to-analog converters (DACs).
OnePlus has partnered with Danish audio company Dynaudio to tune the earbuds.
They support LHDC 5.0, AAC, and SBC audio codecs.
The earbuds also include Dipole Sound-Field technology, which uses reverse sound waves through rear vents to reduce audio leakage.
AI Features and Connectivity
The OnePlus Buds Clip come with six bone-conduction microphones and a dedicated AI audio chip.
The chip supports an on-device translation feature, allowing users to access AI-powered language translation.
The earbuds connect through Bluetooth 6.1 and support simultaneous pairing with two devices.
Battery
OnePlus claims the Buds Clip can deliver up to 40 hours of battery life.
The clip-on design is intended for extended listening sessions, while the adaptive C-bridge helps the earbuds stay comfortably attached to the ears.
Price and Availability
The earbuds have appeared on OnePlus’ global website, suggesting they will be available in select international markets.
However, OnePlus has not yet announced its official pricing or release date.
