OnePlus has revealed the complete camera specifications of its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 16. The smartphone is set to launch in China soon and will be powered by Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
OnePlus 16 Gets Triple 200MP-Led Camera Setup
The OnePlus 16 will feature a triple-camera system on the rear, led by a 200MP primary sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches with an f/1.6 aperture.
The main camera will be joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 116-degree field of view.
For selfies and video calls, OnePlus has equipped the phone with a 50MP front-facing camera.
The OnePlus 16 will also use Oppo’s Lumo imaging engine, with OnePlus already sharing camera samples captured with the upcoming flagship.
165Hz Display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
Beyond the cameras, the OnePlus 16 will feature a design similar to the OnePlus 15 and will be offered in three color options.
OnePlus has also confirmed support for a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate, which will allow the high refresh rate to work across the phone rather than being limited to specific applications.
The handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
9,000mAh Battery Rumored
Recent reports suggest that the OnePlus 16 could feature a 9,000mAh battery. However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed the battery capacity.
The company is expected to reveal more details ahead of the phone’s launch in China.
