The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has opened its first Driving Licensing Authority (DLA) Facilitation Center in Sindh, offering technology-based driving license services to citizens.
The facility has been established at the DIG Office, South Zone, on the M-9 and was inaugurated by Additional Inspector General South Region Javed Akbar Riaz.
According to the NHMP, the center will initially provide driving license services for motorcycles, cars, jeeps, and light transport vehicles (LTVs).
The facility has been equipped with modern technology to make the licensing process more transparent, efficient, and convenient for applicants. The system is also aimed at reducing unnecessary delays and improving access to licensing services.
Speaking at the inauguration, Riaz said the center was part of efforts to provide standardized and merit-based driving license services.
He added that an improved licensing system would also help promote safer driving, better compliance with traffic laws, and greater road discipline by ensuring that motorists are properly licensed and aware of traffic regulations.
The new facility will serve residents of Karachi and other parts of Sindh seeking NHMP driving license services.
