Mercantile Launches iPhone Duo in Pakistan on Global Launch Day with a One-Year Apple Warranty

Pakistani buyers no longer have to wait weeks to find out what a new iPhone costs. Mercantile, Apple’s authorised distributor in Pakistan, has announced local pricing for the iPhone Duo as the foldable reaches customers worldwide, starting at Rs. 899,999 for the 256GB model.

The Duo is Apple’s first foldable iPhone. It was announced on September 9, with pre-orders opening October 16 and shipping from October 23.

The Duo opens into a 7.6-inch inner display, the largest ever on an iPhone, and has a 5.4-inch outer screen for everyday use. The layout is wider than earlier vertical-style foldables, which suits video. The inner screen uses an under-display camera, and both screens support Apple Pencil.

  • Chip: A20 Pro, the same chip as the iPhone 18 Pro models, with Apple’s C2 modem. The phone is eSIM-only.
  • Cameras: two 48MP cameras, a main and an ultrawide with 2x optical zoom. There is no telephoto lens.
  • Design: 5.2mm thick when open, the thinnest iPhone so far, and 11.3mm when folded. It weighs 254 grams. The hinge uses grade 5 aluminium, and a nanotexture finish reduces the visible crease.
  • Battery: Apple claims up to 44 hours of video playback on the outer display.
  • Security: Touch ID in the side button, with no Face ID. The phone can also be unlocked with an Apple Watch.
Storage Price (PKR)
256GB 899,999
512GB 980,000
1TB 1,145,000
2TB 1,390,000

Every unit is PTA approved and comes with a one-year official Apple warranty. That matters more on a first-generation foldable, where a working hinge and authorised service are real concerns. The 2TB model costs Rs. 490,001 more than the base version.

Mercantile is not new to launching at speed. It introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in Pakistan on day one, from Rs. 565,000 and Rs. 605,000, close to their worldwide launch. The Duo carries that approach to a much more expensive device.

Nauman Durrani, CEO Pakistan, SVP SAGE for Mercantile said: “This milestone reflects our commitment to ensuring that customers in Pakistan experience the very best of Apple at the same time as the rest of the world. We remain focused on bringing the latest Apple innovations to our customers, without compromise.”

Two launches in a row with official pricing and PTA-approved stock from the start suggest Pakistan is now being served alongside the global rollout, not after it. For buyers, that means an authorised channel for even Apple’s most expensive new phone.
