License of Famous Food Company Cancelled
Punjab Food Safety Minister Salma Butt has announced the cancellation of Salva’s Foods’ license after inspectors discovered 3,000 kilograms of expired and contaminated raw materials at the company’s factory in Lahore.
During the inspection, officials found fungus-infested ingredients emitting a foul smell, along with unsafe mixtures that violated food safety standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Salva’s Foods produces a range of food products, including ketchup, mayonnaise, biscuits, and chutneys. The discovery has raised serious concerns about the safety standards followed at its production facility.
Safety Minister Salma Butt personally led the operation. She examined contaminated barrels and directed officials as they inspected the factory and its stored production materials.
Following the discovery, Butt announced the cancellation of the company’s license over the food safety violations.

Expired and fungus-contaminated ingredients can pose health risks if used in products intended for human consumption.
Food manufacturers must ensure that raw materials remain safe for use and comply with applicable food safety regulations throughout the production process.
