A Consumer Protection Court in Karachi’s South district has fined a flight booking app more than Rs. 130,000 and ordered it to improve its services within 30 days.
The court announced the decision after hearing a case involving a private airline and an application that allows customers to book flight tickets online. The court imposed a combined fine of more than Rs. 130,000 on the flight booking app over the matter.
In its ruling, the court directed the app to deposit the fine within 30 days. It also ordered the platform to improve its services to address concerns related to its operations.
The court’s decision requires the app to comply with both directives within the stipulated timeframe. The penalty and the order to improve services form part of the court’s action in the case concerning online flight bookings.
